"No Comfort Zone": esprime un’idea di creazione contemporanea come interazione tra differenti linguaggi e pratica di ricerca comprendendo un margine auspicabile di non conforto, o rischio, come parte fruttuosa del processo. Riconosciamo nel movimento del corpo e nel movimento del suono una stessa entità che sottoponiamo ad un pari trattamento decostruttivo/ricostruttivo.
Nel corpo sonoro cerchiamo una dimensione non organica, non fluida, non scorrevole: un segno capace di restituire la frammentarietà dei pensieri e l’opposta tensione, o forza del sentire, verso quell’esperienza di “continuum” costantemente sfuggente. Ascoltando Beethoven.

Poems of the River

‘Poems of the River’ celebrates the achievements of people with sight and hearing impairments from the charity’s Glenside Resource Centre who took part in a six month project with poet Laila Sumpton to create poems, stories, photographs and artwork inspired by the river. Participants also worked collaboratively with sound artist Daz Disley, to compose sound pieces of creatures found by the river banks, from eels and ducks to herons and rabbits.
The exhibition is part of Sense’s, Arts & Wellbeing programme, which supports people with sensory impairments at all stages of their involvement in the arts and cultural sector.

This is the second edition of GNARL fest, the East Midlands Platform exhibiting International and National Live Art. This year's schedule is even bigger, more experimental, more provocative and more International. With practices as distinct as song lecture, digital performance, new media punk rock, trash spectacles, there is certainly something for every performance lover who is interested in finding fresh approaches to art and performance. Get ready for an intensive week of performances, installations, screenings, workshops and discussions over drinks led by emerging and acclaimed UK and international artists. From burlesque to trash, and from transgressive to guerrilla acts, GNARL Fest promises to create an unprecedented event. "Fragments of Experience" is actually a series of video documentaries that I did in order to encapsulate the process and help it find a new life. These videos document only some tiny fraction of the work and function both as a historical record and as a new artwork themselves.
