I am one of the recipients of St Hugh's Foundation Award 2024 supported to to elevate and expand my practice in the field of feminist documentary film. Venturing into experimentation with 16mm film, I also initiate a cross-generational and cross-disciplinary exchange with Lincoln based artist Lena Sass Hughes producing a film portrait of her.

CARRIAGE RETURN (2017)
special mention
SPECIAL MENTION at Festival VideoDanzaBA (Buenos Aires) 2019
category: VIDEOMINUTO
Jury: Daniel Fisher / Mariana Jaroslavsky / Alejandra Diaz

We decide to give Special Mentions to the one minute pieces Six Mothers (Candice Vallatin, España, 0:01:00), Carriage Return (Fenia Kotsopoulou & Daz Disley , Reino Unido, 0:01:00) y Go! (Katariina Räty, Finlandia, 0:01:00).
In these pieces we conceptually value their ideas, their timing montage, the quality and content of their images. Also, the narrative synthesis that they accomplish in its short duration. The power and the closures with a certain circularity make each of these pieces a revelation in their proposals.

1st prize at the MOVIMIENTO EN MOVIMIENTO FESTIVAL IN MEXICO (SEVENTH EDITION)
category: International Screendance Award MOVIMIENTO EN MOVIMIENTO
Jury: Anna Macdonald, Alessandra Pisu, and a vote by Movimiento en Movimiento

The most outstanding of this piece is its strength, there is a deep feeling that is transmitted from the body in movement to the viewer of the audiovisual work, something that manages to be transmitted. It creates a perceptive atmosphere, and a great intensity with simple but very well directed audiovisual elements. It is interesting how the camera follows the body in its ceremonial dance. It is an exercise where the living remembers the dead, dancing with them and for them, transforming themselves into the memories, getting fused with them, and, in spite of being a feminine being, she becomes a masculine being. It is a beautiful and moving film.
